Fix my KRATE Tactical OTF
Is your blade not ejecting or retracting when you activate the trigger button? Is your OTF in limp mode ( the blade just slides in and out )
Here is how to fix that! This is the most common issue people have with their OTF.
Step 1. Carefully grab the blade and pull it all the way out until it LOCKS into place, this will reset the spring
Step 2. Push the trigger to see if that worked. If your knife is functioning again then the problem is solved!
If you did step 1 and 2 and your blade has occasional misfires then try this.
Step 3. Remove the glass breaker with the supplied tool and blow compressed air into the hole.
(If you lost the supplied tool then you can use a small allen key or punch)
Step 4. Add a couple of drops (max) of gun oil or lubricating oil into the glass breaker hole and down the sides of the opening of the knife (apply down the small edges) this is where the friction occurs.
Step 5. Start engaging the blade and working the lube in.
Step 6. Replace glass breaker (BE CAREFUL NOT TO OVERTIGHTEN TO AVOID STRIPPING)
