Care & Maintenance Routine
Learn how to properly clean and maintain your OTF knife. Doing this routine every few months—or after particularly heavy use—will keep your knives firing smooth and looking sharp.
Basic overview:
- Use a service tool to disassemble the knife (included in our Hardware Kit).
- Blow out debris using compressed air or clean gently with a safe solvent.
- Apply a light lubricant (like CLP or mineral oil) to moving parts—focus on the spring, carriage, and sliding surfaces.
- Reassemble and cycle the blade 20–30 times to distribute lubricant evenly.

Fix For “Limp Mode“
If your knife isn’t deploying as expected, don’t panic. This “Limp Mode” can happen sometimes, but fortunately there is usually an easy fix!
